Four Sided Polygon - Rectangle

A rectangle is a flat shape with straight sides where every angle is a right angle and the opposite sides are parallel and of equal length. There are two types of rectangles – Simple and Complex.

A Simple Rectangle normally refers to a quadrilateral with four right angles. A simple rectangle is a special case of a parallelogram, which has two pairs of parallel opposite sides. For Example, a square is a special type of rectangle.

The area and perimeter of the Rectangle can be calculated by using the following formulas:

rectangle

a = lw
p = 2l + 2w

Where,
a = area
l = length
w = width
p = perimeter
